Through Other Eyes

Educational game that calls awareness for accessibility for blind people

A virtual experience in the life of blind people

being seen through other eyes,

Being defined through other eyes,

They can also “see”the world through other eyes,

Hands become eyes that read the texture of walls,

Ears become eyes that trace the movement of sound.

They do not use eyes, yet they perceive a world far richer than sight alone can hold.

VR experience with limited vision

In the game, players explore the world through the senses available to people with visual disabilities—hearing and touch—while navigating a series of levels that recreate daily experiences. They might use their hands and feet to perceive their surroundings (Touch-Vibration System for VR hand controllers), follow tactile paving and a white cane to find their way and avoid obstacles (Reveal-on-touch mechanics), rely on sound cues and assistance from others to solve problems.

Games for social influence

The VR experience highlights the overlooked challenges faced by blind individuals in urban environments. It draws attention to how accessibility features—such as tactile pavings or public guidance systems—are often poorly implemented, blocked, or inconsistently designed, turning spaces meant for assistance into hidden hazards. When guide dogs are restricted and infrastructure fails, the city itself becomes unwelcoming, gradually erasing the presence of those it claims to support. By immersing players in this reality, the game encourages empathy, awareness, and a critical reflection on how design decisions shape inclusivity in everyday life.

The game bases on the fact that in certain city, facilities for blindness are not truely be designed for them, they are blocked by stuffs, are dealt with perfunctorily, even are unreasonable designed, which cause the death of their users. As a result, when the tractile pavings do not bring convenience, the guide dogs are not allowed to appear on the bus or subway, the blindness gradually disappear from our sight.
